New Beginnings.

With every story, there is always a beginning, middle, and end.
Whenever I'm reading a book or listening to a story,
I tend to jump ahead in order to find out the climax, the grand finale!

Oh, the delicious suspense, the curiosity that keeps us waiting….

How many times do we do that in our lives?
Eagerly jumping ahead to see what's next.
A job promotion. A new hairstyle or car.
Deeper vision for your ministry.
Retirement.
Finding your future spouse.

Good, healthy aspirations that can unfortunately lead to distraction,
removing the focus of God's work at hand.

It's so easy to live for TOMORROW
instead of embracing TODAY.

I leave for the World Race in 9 days.
I never imagined it would come this quickly!
As I'm approaching this new adventure,
I'm realizing how fast time flies.
That in 11 months I will be returning to the U.S.,
With unbelief that it's already over.

My curiosity is killing me. I have no idea what God's plans are on this race.
But it's incredible to think that God has hand picked each person on my squad, on my team,
for such a time as this, to fulfill Jesus' command to

"GO and make disciples of ALL nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19)

I want to grasp every minute, every day to the FULLEST of what God has in store.
I want to make it a goal to daily exhaust myself entirely, knowing I gave

everything.

When asked how I'm feeling about beginning the World Race, I honestly have no idea! I'm mostly super excited and eager for what God's got in store….but ultimately this is my prayer:

Lord, use me as Your vessel. Expand my faith to believe for the impossible on this trip.
To see Your Spirit move and shake villages, cities, and towns,
Leaving them radical for YOU.
Break every chain of darkness as You sweep across the earth,
Revealing Your majestic glory and intimate love!
Romance me daily and draw my heart closer to Yours
As You use me to romance others to acknowledge Your LOVE.
Transform me into a completely different person by the end of this race.
May I not jump ahead to see what's next after the World Race,
But thoroughly enjoy the ride of each day on this trip.
Knowing that the current steps I'm taking are already preparing me for what's next.

"He has made everything beautiful in its own time.
He has also set eternity in the hearts of men;
yet they cannot fathom what God has done from
beginning
to END."

-Ecclesiastes 3:11
