As I was sitting in the living room trying to write a blog I looked up and saw Tres looking around the kitchen floor as if he may have dropped something. I asked him what he was doing and he quietly motioned for me to come and assist him in whatever he was doing. When I went in he informed me that he had seen a little mouse. We tried to find it, and at the same time we tried to keep it quite because we imagined what the rest of the team would do if they found out. When we found it, Tres was able to trap it under a bucket. It was hard to keep it a secret at that point because we were laughing so hard. All the girls came in to see what it was and we told them that it was a mouse. With a folder over the bucket to keep the mouse from getting out, I carried the bucket outside to let the mouse go in the field across the street. Birk insisted on seeing the mouse before I let it go. When I removed the folder to let it go, the mouse made a giant leap straight to Birk. It landed on her just before running between my legs into the field. Her screaming prompted possibly my hardest laugh since this trip began. This is just some of the excitement we have on the World Race.
