Living the Christmas season in Thailand was unlike anything I expected. It was nothing like making gingerbread houses with my sister, cuddling on the couch to keep warm, waiting for my whole family to finally be together, and eating way too much of my mama’s cooking. It looked a little different….tube socks as stocking, spicy hot chocolate(because this is Thailand and everything has a kick), barefoot Christmas parties, Operation Christmas Child distributions, and of course waking up sweaty.

This December, although bizarre and unfamiliar in some aspects, was all about worshiping, giving and celebrating our Jesus. Christmas season in Thailand is the time when Thai believers have the opportunity to go into schools and other functions and preach the Good Gospel, which normally is not allowed, and this year I had the privilege to join in on the beautiful madness! My team was apart of 5 church Christmas parties, 4 school Christmas programs, 2 Christmas events in the local prisons, and hours of Christmas caroling around our city and for the Governor of Ratchaburi and all within the span of three weeks. It was busy. It required tons of travel, loads of energy, and endless smiles. BUT I LOVED IT. I will never forget this season because I was blessed to celebrate the birth of Jesus with new brothers and sisters who live thousands of miles away from my home.

I intended on sharing this blog post about three weeks ago (when it would have been more prevalent) but there was one obstacle in my way. WIFI. Thank the Lord I have access to it, but sometimes it isn’t fast-and-furious enough to get the deed done..like uploading a video. After 12 attempts and many frustrating moments when it would go from 99% uploaded to 0%, I finally present to you the Thai Christmas video. But you gotta admit that this wifi mess does give us an excuse to celebrate christmas a month into the new year. You are welcome:)

I love you all and I hope your families experienced in incredible Christmas and an unforgettable start into the New Year!!
