So far I think the french have gotten a bad rap on being rude because they have NOTHING on New Yorkers. This is how it went:
Tuesday 7pm – flew out from Ontario to New York
Wednesday 5:20 am – arrived in New York, was able to catch the sunrise.
Wednesday 6am – arrived at terminal 1 spent an hour sitting in front of the “under construction” bathroom charging phone and computer only the occasional Jamacan would say hello
Wednesday 6:30 pm – boarded Air France flight while on the phone with Verizon wireless who refused to disconnect my service before the bill cycle date even though I am out of contract.
Wendnesday 8pm- flight began for Paris
Thursday 11am- deboarded plan and proceeded straight to security who rewent through our bags and threw stuff away.
Thursday 12:30 pm- boarded a flight for Ukraine after a brief chair/ floor nap in the terminal
Spoke to Ollis for about an hour of the flight between naps. He is a Ukranian native who told me all about the history and where to visit and what life was really like under communisim. We discussed the effects of capitalizim and wealth on the Ukranian community and about how to visit Chernoyble. Overall a very enjoyable flight.
