Who am I?
That's such a hard question to answer because I'm constantly changing.
The person that I am right now is not who I was a few years ago and I know that after this year, I will never be the same.
Let me try to cover some of the basics though.
I was born and raised in Delaware, but now I go to school at the University of Michigan. I have planned on being a teacher since sophomore year of high school so I got my Bachelor's in Math Education and now I'm in grad school for Educational Leadership and Policy because I had decided that after teaching for some years, I wanted to move into administration or something like that. However, I currently have no idea what is going to happen with my life, but I'm excited.
Random Information: I like the color orange. I love music. I play piano and guitar, I sing, and I write. However, I am not proficient in any of these areas.
I love love love my family. I am the third child of seven; there are five girls and two boys and I am the second girl. My parents are pastors and businesspeople and seriously awesome followers of Christ; they have been a constant source of guidance, love, support, truth, wisdom, and life for me and so many others. I understand Christ's love better because of how they love. It's awesome. My siblings are awesome and I can't believe how quickly time goes and that we are all almost out of high school and venturing into different things.
I have two faith families: my church and the Young Life Delaware community and I love them both.
I am dynamic, constantly changing and I refuse to put myself in a box. I used to care about how people perceived me and all that stuff, but now I'm all about freedom.
I'm free to be me and you're free to be you. I'm all about freedom and empowerment in Christ Jesus.
Freedom is the ability to obey God and that's what I aim to do.
As I think about this post, I just think about some of the things that I love so I've listed them below!
- I love running and soccer and Wii wakeboarding and Young Life Camp and baking and blabbing about Jesus and reading Philippians and joking with my cousins and playing rummy with my dad and brother.
- I love singing loudly and dancing in my car.
- I love doing Insanity with my sisters, I love making and eating caramel popcorn with Jer, I love making and editing videos, I love making photo books, I love math (especially multiplication and algebra), I love watching basketball games, taking pictures, and Instagram.
- I love Beth Moore products and hot tea. I love geography and I love Hispanic culture, I love slippers (and carry them with me), I love vacuuming and the smell of fresh laundry, and I love eating peanut butter and honey on granola bars.
- I love talking to my best friend every week, I love movies where the underdog overcomes and by golly, I. Love. Jesus.
