Hey everyone!!

I’m Rachel, and I’m a 26 year old elementary school teacher from Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

I’ve been a teacher for the past 4 years, and I LOVE my career choice. Here’s some pictures of me on the job…

My co-workers are awesome, which I’m thankful for since I spend a ton of time with them 🙂

It doesn’t feel right to write about myself without first introducing my family. I’ve been blessed to be raised in church and in a stable home environment. My parents were married for 2 years before they had me. My mom was a stay-at-home mom (now she’s a principal), and my dad was an engineer at the local power plant. I’m very thankful and blessed for the family God gave me. I never went hungry, always had what I needed and more, and never felt afraid to lay my head down at night.

My mom is my biggest encourager and the most selfless person I know. I refuse to disappoint her, and as long as I’m following God’s will for my life, she is proud of me. My dad is the opposite of my mom as far as temperaments. He is very introverted, and he usually doesn’t have much to say, but when he says something, it’s either hilarious or very serious. They are a perfect balance.

My 24 year old sister Hannah got married last year. Her husband Kyle is a pretty rad guy 🙂 Although she is married now, she is still my best friend, and I love my brother-in-law too. My sister Mary Grace is 18 years old and just graduated high school, and she will attend Marshall University in the fall. She is a mini-me…literally, people we haven’t met before think we are twins. And she has a heart that loves Jesus and inspires me to be a better person. So it’s us 3 girls and then our baby brother, who is not really a baby anymore, especially since he is so TALL. There’s a 10 year difference between he and I, so he’s 16 years old. He loves for me to take him golfing, to get sushi, pretty much anything. Oh and he loves basketball. I also have awesome grandparents that have helped shape me into the person I am today…Mammy, Pappy, Grandma, and Grandpa!!!

I also have amazing friends, but I will probably post about them later on. My Bible study group I have to mention though, because if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have had the courage to step out in faith on this journey.

Now just a little bit about myself, besides what I’ve already told you. I love Jesus, teaching, jogging, SpongeBob, traveling, writing, music, DC, church, working out, NYC, trying new foods, the beach, playing with my puppy Winnie, and learning about sea creatures. Thank you for reading!!!
