For those of you who don’t know me… yet, my name is Rachel!

I am 19 years old and located in Nashville, Tennessee.

I am currently a student at Columbia State Community College. In May 2018, I will graduate with an associates in Anthropology.

Later, I hope to acquire a bachelors in International Relations and a masters in French.

Something God has been teaching me this past year is to be comfortable with being uncomfortable and expanding my comfort zone.

The first time I went out of the country was this past summer of 2017. I went to China, Philippines, Canada, and India which was 3 months of plane-hopping (Go big or Go home, right?) Traveling, mostly by myself, was a growing experience and where God really showed me what I could handle and what I was capable of.

In India, is where He really changed me and revealed to me, in a moment, where I needed to be the following year, 2018.

It was this moment in Jaipur, India at a non-profit organization called TABAAR.

TABAAR is an organization that rescues young boys from child labor, child gangs, children that ran away or just got lost… etc.

In this moment we were having a “dance off” and Rajul (the kid pictured) got to be a kid for the first time in his life and when I glanced upon this little boys face, as it emanated happiness, I knew I wanted to see that smile and feeling cast upon hundreds of other faces around the world and one word came to mind. . .

M I S S I O N A R Y

So here I am. . . Newly accepted into World Race: Gap Year and excited to see the Lord’s plan for my future unfold.

I would be elated if you went on this journey with me by subscribing to my blog!
