The world race.
Man, it’s finally here.
HOLY CRAPPERS IT REALLY IS. *wide eyes, jaw down to my ankles*
It all seemed pretty real, although not at the same time.
Packing, saying goodbye to family and friends and all the peoples was a new experience for me. . . I’ve never said goodbye for any longer then 2weeks. ever.
? Launch was a fun-info-packed-exciting-filled 3 days pact with more training, training-exercises and just a time for prayer for the journey we were about to set foot on.
The flight was exhilarating, landing in Guatemala city was super cool.
{fun fact: it was probably the softest shortest landing I’ve ever experienced. -Going through customs and getting a stamp on my passport was a highlight, obviously. haha.}
It wasn’t real to me till I had said most of my squad-mate goodbyes, handed my 70liter pack to our driver, and i was just taking in my surroundings.. there i saw women and children just sitting on the pavement or walking past.
I’ve never cried happy tears in all my life until that moment. i myself thought i was a bit loco within the moment, because that’s not like me.
I’m telling ya, this is all a dream come true. All i could think is “ How on earth did i get so blessed? GOD IS SO AMAZING!”
and all i can say is thank you for being apart of this life changing journey!!! donations, prayers, supported me in any way.. THANK YOU for being a piece to this puzzle.
..and that’s the beginning of something wonderful.
We stay at a mission house with Street Revolution, during the week we alternate spending time with the street youth, teach interactive bible lessons to the little children deep in the city, and currently repairing a building that will be a coffee shopible club to love and teach in a safe place.
^right outside of the spark taking a break from scraping the walls doing some snazzy handshake with a fist-pump to spice it up, of course.
^this is my team tonight right before dinner, (Anika, our squad leader was hiding or something you know). home made tortillas and some tasty potato hash stuffs made by the fabulous cooks.
{more fun facts}
