This month (our last month!) we are working with Cross Generations Church. We were welcomed with open arms.Our names and pictures were posted on the bulletin board for prayer when you first walk into the church. This is the 5th World Race team that has worked with this organization.
The first couple of days we spent visiting work places of different church members. We spent an afternoon at an orphanage for infant to 3 year olds. The director’s aspiration of employees is that they truly love the work they do. And it pays off. The caretakers love these children like their own.
On Friday morning, we visited Middelburg Highschool and talked with the principal and school counselors. The programs in place for providing a safe place for giving the students encouragement and support is amazing. Just walking down the hallway, you could see the relationship and trust these students have in the faculty.
Over the next 2 weeks we will be doing a wide variety of activities. I’m so thankful that this is the ministry we are working with for our last month. They are involved in every aspect of the community and show the nature of Christ in everything they do.
