Goals–I don’t know if I have twenty years of schooling to
thank or the fact that my parents required a little planning
before I could go out during my live-with-my-parents days,
but I tend to set goals. So for my future reference and your
personal pleasure, here are some goals for this little trip of
mine.
Things to knock off the bucket list in the next year:
- Learn Spanish
- Dance with Africans
- Kiss a Romanian
- Meet another Rachel on the other side of the world
- Run in every country I visit
- Learn how to set up a tent
- Climb a mountain
- Save someone’s life
- Have someone make a difference in mine
- Eat something crazy. Like—really—crazy
- Learn how to drive a stick shift
- Ride an elephant. Or a giraffe.
- Run with a Kenyan
Things I could definitely die happy without experiencing
- Have some creature/bug/scary thing attack me while I *ahem* use the restroom
- Catch some disease I have never heard of, and also some I have heard of
- Have my backpack (aka everything) stolen
- Have a very large, sweaty man sit on me
- Share my sleeping bag with an uninvited hairy animal
- Share my sleeping bag with a large, uninvited, hairy man
- Fall off the mountain I am trying to climb
- Be eaten by the giraffe I am trying to ride
I guess we’ll see how it goes.
Do you have any additions to the lists?
