Hey guys! So each month we are encouraged to make a list of goals. They can be anything from spiritual to physical because in the end, it’s for the glory of God. So I wanted to share with you my goals for the month!

1. Memorize Hebrews 11. If you haven’t read Hebrews 11, it talks about the various acts of faith throughout the Bible. From Cain and Abel to . I chose this one because it’s just a good reminder of how much we need to trust God, and the incredible things He can do out of that faith.

2. Run 4 times a week. Now if you know me, you know I DESPISE running. Always have, but it’s one of the easiest ways to work out on the Race and it helps me get my day start right. As of now, ive completed the first week. YES.

3. Drink 5 hydroflasks of water a day. I know, it sounds like a lot. its actually only 90 ounces of water, and with our route chasing summer around the world. I need to work on my water intake.

4. Finish the book Boundaries. I started this book a few months ago and it’s about maintaining healthy relationships in every aspect of your life. From family, to friends, to work, and community groups. It’s all biblically based and is just a good reminder of how to stay healthy while still living for God.

5. Stay under food budget. Being on the Race we have a small food budget. In previous months, I have always spent over on coffees or desserts at the local cafes but this month Im trying to stay under budget! (Pray for me)

6. Keep up with the bible reading plan. One of our alumni squad leaders created a Bible reading plan for S squad that ends when we get back to the states. I’ve never read the Bible cover to cover so I challenged myself to complete it this year. So far I am on track!

7. Keep up my once a week blogging! In the beginning, I dreaded blogging. It seemed liked such a waste of time.I quickly learned how much it helps me. Not only does it share with the people around me (like you), it helps me process what I’m going through. It helps keep me accountable in where my walk is with God.

8. Step out in faith at least 3 times. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but we typically do about 3 weeks of ministry a month. So that’s about once a week. I wanted to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone, since that’s how it will be when I get back to the states.

9. Do a listening prayer once a week. This is something I don’t do enough. It’s so easy to sit and talk to God but it’s also good to LISTEN. Sometimes, it’s in those moments that He reveals big things that he has planned for us.

10. Push into community as much as possible. This month we had a team change since its MANistry month for our squad. The two co-ed teams combined and then split guys and girls. It was a change that I didn’t expect but it’s been great! I am so excited to get to know these girls over the next few weeks.

I know it seems like a lot but I really wanted to challenge myself, and so far I’ve been able to keep up! One week down, two to go! Thanks again for your support and prayers.

Love,

R
