What a month. This month was truly a blessing. This is the longest we have stayed in one country at our actual ministry site and it has been incredible. We’ve done a variety of ministry all across the board. From passing out flyers in the city center, to visiting a disabled home, to doing construction at a summer camp.

But somehow, as the end is nearing of Month 7, I will be leaving feeling rejuvenated. I feel rested. I feel accomplished. I feel at peace of what is to come.

This month we have been working alongside Pastor Goran and his family. He has 4 kids from the age of 4-18. They are a true testament of what walking with God looks like. They love people well, they have servant hearts, and are always willing to give more.

Last week we spent 5 days at a summer camp that was on the border of Greece. We did manual labor that consisted of moving rocks and shoveling dirt almost every day. It was great to see the outcome of our hard work at the end of the week.

Monday when we returned to Negotino, it felt like coming home. Our host family has made us feel so welcome there was just a sense of comfort and love from the second we walked in the door. For that, I will always be thankful.

This season of the Race is like every other one, you get out of it what you put in. For me, it’s the time where the end is close and it’s so easy to get distracted with plans after the Race. Am I going to move back home? Or back to Chattanooga? What job will I have? Should I start looking at school dates? It’s easy to lose sight of where you are and to wish it away.

Having that sense of home and love brought reality back for me. We are in MACEDONIA. We are on a once in a lifetime trip, and how cool is that?! Next week, we start Month 8 in Bulgaria. I’m excited to see how God is going to work in this month. But for now, I’m resting in the gratitude for all that He has given us this month.

God is good. All the time. and All the time. God is good.
