Sitting here, watching the cursor blink at me as I search for the words… How do describe this journey … how do I even begin to put all of the things God is doing into words. Words just don’t do it justice.

Moldova has been many things but overall a great month. My team has found our rhythm and really has learned how to have grace with one another, accept each other and encourage each other. I have enjoyed all the different opportunities of ministry here, including intercession, house visiting, cleaning, preparing a church opening, discipling and my favorite the street kids program. I love that loving others is what I have been created for and that the Lord actually shows up and does it through me, what a blessing!
A little Petro update… Those of you who have been following the blog know that this little boy has really touched me. A little boy who used to be pushed away because he did not know how to control himself, had energy that always turned into violence because it is all he knew, who got himself caught in situations that were destructive because he didn’t have any other options, was unable to make friends because he was never taught social skills and instead of being accepted was beat up by others… this little boy… he no longer exists. Instead there is a Petro who shakes my hand and looks me in the eye when I greet him, who snuggles his little head on my hip as we walk, who gets along with the other children and follows the rules of games and participates, who comes and knocks on my window because he knows I will accept him and enjoy his company, who conversates with me about who knows what because he loves to share what is on his mind (I don’t know Romanian) and who comes into his first church service and sits and prays for 45 minutes because he craves God. It has been nothing short of one of the best experiences of my life watching God come touch, comfort and begin to transform his life. THANK YOU PAPA for loving your children so well!
We leave here tomorrow (Friday) and will be traveling on an overnight train to Bucharest, Romania. There our entire squad will be bunking in a 3 story house for 2 days. We will debrief and do some team changing. Then we will head to ministry for October… I do not know where I will be going yet, I will let you know as soon as I do!

There is so much room for the Kingdom here in Moldova. Many things that you can look and see need to be changed, injustice that still needs to be made right, things that break your heart, poverty, prostititution, alcoholism… but instead I choose to enjoy and marvel in the things that God did do this month… and celebrate because God is going to continue to move in this place.

 It has been fun Moldova.
