I am so grateful for this daily hunger for God. Not only does it press me to pursue a relationship with Him, but it also lets me know that He is pursuing a relationship with me! What? The God of the UNIVERSE desires me to KNOW Him intimately and He also wants to know me intimately? Crazy! I LOVE it! This past week and weekend has been outstanding! We have 7 more months after this on the race, 7 is the number of spiritual perfection and satisfaction and so I believe God is going to allow our team to grow by leaps and bounds spiritually and finish this “race” with a deep sense of satisfaction and sheer awe of Him. At the beginning of the week I had a prayed a prayer of feeling “overlooked” by God in certain areas and on the 19th around dinner time I was almost killed by a motorcycle. The traffic here is NUTS, our team was crossing the street, in the middle I got scared and so I sped up, happened to glance to my left, saw my entire team looking at me in horror, faced forward again to see a man speed by on a motorcycle within inches of me, talk about divine intervention…overlooked? I think NOT. The poor man pulled over and was so scared and kept staring at me in disbelief that I was still standing there completely untouched, truth is maybe he did see me get hit and God resurrected me…I’ll know one day :o). It was difficult to cross the street for the rest of the week and I required multiple hand holding :o).

On Good Friday the church we are working with had a 30 hour prayer service starting at 6pm Friday and ending at 12am Saturday. Some from the team stayed the entire time (Mark and Kim), I did not because I was scheduled to work with kids in the morning on Saturday (see cute pics below). Words can’t describe how Jesus encountered me on Friday evening-right before we left we stopped to see “my girl”, which one of my team mates used her name in his blog (Charles), so I have included her picture below-pray for her! Anyway, she kissed my shoulder as we left and so the night was off to a good start :o) as we sat and worshipped Jesus late into the night, I kept wanting to SEE Him, and all of a sudden I had this picture of Him hanging on the cross and He looked at me with those incredible fire eyes that pierce every part of your body, my heart was undone. Can you imagine looking into the eyes of pure LOVE? Did you know that Love has eyes? :o) You can look into them, just ask to see His. Wow! We sang one of my favorite songs to Him, “You are beautiful beyond description, too marvelous for words, more wonderful than comprehension, like nothing ever seen or heard, who can grasp Your infinite wisdom, who can fathom the depth of Your Love, You are beautiful beyond description,  majesty enthroned above, And I stand, I stand in AWE of You…Holy God, to whom all praise is due, I stand in awe of You!”  He is WORTHY to be worshipped, He is WORTHY to be praised, He is WORTHY to be adored and lifted high, He is the DARLING of heaven, the sacrificial Lamb, the Lion of Judah, a CONSUMING fire! Fan the embers of our heart God!!! Thank You Jesus for Your death, Your resurrected LIFE, and giving me mine! He’s alive, now I’m alive, I will NEVER die! Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus.

“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know them full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.”      ~David (Psalm 139:13-16)

Our team waiting for the roti :o)
They make the BEST bagged juice drinks here, these are the “to go” cups, even for hot drinks-the fruit juices are pure blended fruit and very cheap, here we have watermelon and pineapple :o)
This is a pic right after I almost got hit…happy to be alive!
Me with the men :o) Look at that sky!
This pic does not do justice to how much powdered paint, mold, and plaster we have covering us and our lungs…not healthy! But worth it :o)
Me and Alison at the top of a very lovely creek on our way to Turtle Beach on our day off!
Part of Turtle Beach :o)
Baby turtles in the sanctuary!

One of the girls we watched Saturday morning :o)
Duck duck goose…we had to explain it (with a translator) several times before they got it, but they LOVED it!
This place is run by a Christian woman who allows families who cannot afford child care and have to work or just need a break to drop their kids off for free certain days of the week-awesome!
Love this pic of Charles and Jake!
Easter Sunday with a friend-Patrina, she is an amazingly gifted woman who can sing like and angel! I’m serious, I want to be like her! She also dances for Jesus and makes costumes and flower arrangements-so sweet!
Team Easter pic :o)
“My girl” My SWEET SWEET Lina (that’s her name), I pray everday for her!
One of the last times I went to see her, she just laid on my shoulder like she needed the rest, and she probably does, God has surrounded her with Himself, there is HOPE!

Here are my team mates blogs, I encourage you to read them as well, lots of beautiful perspectives! Love you all!
