Last week marked the beginning of a new chapter for me individually and for A-squad as a whole. All 47 of us came together for a small debrief in Kathmandu, Nepal for a time of fellowship and community. There’s also something significant that happens during this time for us racers called “team changes.” It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like, the shifting around of people and teams.
The heart behind this is to create an opportunity of forward movement for the individual, the team and squad as a whole. Often times when we enter into a season of change it brings growth and allows for new shapes to form. The process isn’t easy. Most of the time it hurts. Actually, all the time it hurts. I don’t know about you but I remember when I was a little girl and I would get these insane growing pains in my legs. It would keep me up all night. The only thing that made it better was when my mom and dad would hold me in their arms, rub my legs and tell me everything was going to be alright. Even though it was painful, I knew that the outcome would be me growing taller. Which I was totally into (since I was always the smallest one in the class). So that's exactly what this season is all about: trusting the process and growing taller!
Now, for the introduction of my new team……

my amazing brother – Christian Roderick!
Ya… it's just 2 of us! Christian and I have been invited by our alumni squad leaders, Phillip and Christy to take their place of squad leading when they leave at the end of the month! They’re role on the field has been to love on the people of A-squad and raise up a new leadership team (that'sus!) to carry the squad the next 8 months. These two people are AMAZING! They walk naturally supernatural. They have propheticaly activated the voices of A-squad and paved the way to experience the Father through worship.
You ask….what exactly does a squad leader do?!
As squad leaders, our # 1 priority is the people on our squad. We will travel with the squad to each country, visiting the different teams and ministry sites. We have been asked to love the heck out of these people! I am so incredibly humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to co-lead the most amazing group of men and women. And I am so blessed that Jesus gave me a brother like Christian to lead alongside. I am blown away! My prayer is that I would always lead out of a place of love, grace, truth and humility.

As some of you know I am madly in love with Jesus and one of my favorite things to do is hang out with Him and sit in His presence. Well, good news…Christian is also someone who is wildly passionate about Jesus and obsessed with worship. Our greatest desire as people and squad leaders is to go deeper into the heart of our Papa and bring people with us. Simply put, we want to connect with the rhythms of His heartbeat. We believe that we were made for the deep. There is always more and i'm learning it's better to go together than alone. From this place of depth we want to be people who walk in the fullness of who we are and release a radical love into the nations.
