" look at the birds of the air… consider the flowers of the field"
–Jesus in the gospel of matthew 6: 26, 28
the birds and the flowers simply ARE. they aren't working hard, trying, forcing or exhausting themselves- they are being exactly what they were created to be. they simply ARE…yet what a ministry and service they render on our behalf. in the text Jesus is quoted saying 'do not worry'. He says our Heavenly Father knows what we need. He says to seek first His Kingdom and everything else will fall into place. as i sit here i feel Him reminding me that i can put all my trust in Him to provide for my 'needs'. this mission trip is not something that i built, this isn't my ministry, this is not about me. it's about joining the Lord's love & bringing His Kingdom to the hurting.
Jesus, please give me the strength to not focus on the financial needs surrounding this trip but grow my heart to trust you more and more. grant me the grace to seek You first and continue loving.
