As it appeared, my latest blog never showed up. Sorry about that! This is the simplified version of it. Last month, I was in Mozambique. I celebrated my birthday, Christmas, and New Years in that place. It was strange to celebrate all three without snow, but my teams LOL and now Ruach showered me with paper snowflakes. (I actually received 2 birthday celebrations-one on December 7th on a travel day and then one on the 21st and got a custard cake!)

Okay, so what did I do in Mozambique? We worked in the fields! Haha, I never realized the convenience we have in America/the Western world when it comes to tractors and stores where you can buy your own food and products. In the fields, we weeded and planted crops for boys we never met, but we literally planted seeds for those boys. Our ministry at Beacon of Hope Africa seemed daunting, but then to have the knowledge that we were feeding the boys for the year was more encouraging than I ever thought!

Throughout the last month, God kept reminding me of 1 Corinthians 15:58. “With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the worlk of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort. THE MESSAGE I didn’t see fruit, but isn’t that what God class us into? Faith is believing what is not seen. I have fiath in what God is doing at Beacon of Hope. (Sidenote: Beacon of Hope was established to give boys who live in poverty a good biblical education along with skills to get a job.)

I’m really sorry about the lack of Internet. T.I.A. (This is Africa)-ya’ never know what is going to happen.
