As you can tell, our last month was CHINA!  China is a land void of love and truth, although that is amidst natural beauty.  China was gorgeous, but very difficult for me.  As a Christian (in China), you are not allowed to talk about the Gospel nor are you allowed to own a Bible.  There are Christian churches, but you are unaware of if they are true Christian followers; they could be churches set up by the government to say they were “Christian” churches.  Here’s a general background about what we were in for Month 2.  This is the initial reason why we were not allowed to blog about our adventures in this place during that time.

You are probably wanting details at this point so here ya’ go:!
Where were we?  Tibet, in the mountains-I can’t say the actual town on here.  If you look at Picture 2, you can get a view of what we were looking at for the good chunk of the month.  The town we were staying in has a very large Buddhist monastery, so a good percentage of the people there are Buddhist.  Also, it’s a very big area for tourism.   What did we do?  Our initial ministry was spending time with backpackers in “Christian” coffeeshop and to teach the Buddhist monks English.  The second part failed to happen, but some of Team LOL did take prayer walks every day.  Ashley Edwards and I stayed in the coffeeshop and had intentional conversations with “foreigners” as they are called and then the other 3, Jessica Brimmer, Shannon Meador and Maggie LaVigne took daily prayer walks around the monastery.  Also, Ashley, Maggie and I taught Zack English.  Our last day in our ministry, we evangelized to Zach and gave him an extra Bible that we had.  Who did we meet?  Lots and lots of people, however unfortunately none of them are Christians, yet at least.  We met Zack, the Chinese police officer; Soman, a Tibetian citizen, however lives in China-he was our “tour guide” and friend for the month.  (Wherever we went, Soman was sure to show up).  We also met Gideon, who is a Buddhist monk and has been one for many years.  Gideon is friends with a Christian missionary who we spent the rest of our last week with.  Her name was Rachael.  (Rachael didn’t show up until the last week, so that’s why we didn’t meet her before).   I unfortunately don’t have a picture with Rachael accessible, but it’s probably on Facebook somewhere.  What was learned?  Not everything is seen.  Our ministry really this month was hanging out with each other and praying for those we saw day-in, day-out.   I didn’t see much fruit come out of this month, but so much of the World Race is going to be unseen.
Even though we don’t know what all has happened there, our presence has made a difference.  My team, The Ladies of Light, did our task.  We brought light into the darkness.  I’m always reminded of something someone told me when I look back at months.   Even with a tiny speck of light, the darkness cannot hide.  (Eph. 5:8, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 John 1:5)

We may not see “life,” but it is still there.  China, is a persecuted nation in need of your prayers.  It is NOT free, but the Lord is still looking down upon them wanting more of them!

THANK YOU ALSO TO EVERYONE WHO SAW THAT I WAS IN NEED FINANCIALLY!  MY SUPPORT ACCOUNT HAS SUCCEEDED IN GETTING MORE THAN NEEDED FOR THE DECEMBER DEADLINE!  THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME!
