Jonalee is seriously my new best friend! Jonalee is 11 and she has grown up in Tondo for her whole life. I just met her on Friday night at a youth drop-in (that she wasn’t supposed to be at) 😉 Oh well. 😉 Jonalee is such a sweet girl. Everyday when we get to the church, I see her shining face minutes after we walk in.
It’s very strange-this friendship that Jonalee and I have, but it’s definitely one from the Spirit. Half the time, I don’t understand what she is saying and almost all the time she doesn’t understand me, however the love we have for each other is so much greater than words.
I have known Jonalee less than a week, but we hit it off hour 1. Anytime I go into the dump, I can not wait to see Jonalee. The Lord has definitely blessed me with being able to pour into this girl and she doesn’t realize this, but the Lord has brought blessing to me through her. I know the Lord is using me, and I’m so excited to see what else is going to come out of this relationship. I WANT Jonalee to know more than anything that there is nothing that can seperate her from Her Father. I want to know her story more than anything else, but I have found someone to pour into and it’s divinely through Jesus Christ dying on the cross that I am able to be present in this girl’s life.
I am honored that the Lord has called me to speak into Jonalee and fight for this girl’s salvation and hope. She lives in the dump physically, but she lives with the King eternally. Her family life is not the best (don’t know much), but her brothers and sisters IN THE LORD love her more than anything!
*This is Jonalee! She’s beautiful, treasured, restored, pure, holy, deserving, bold and Loved by Her Father!
It’s hard to not be able to say good bye to her now, since we have been moved out of the dump, but I also know that the Lord has destined our team to be at KIM this past 2 weeks. Why? Read the next blog article!!!!
