Sorry everyone for not being consistent with blogs!  My life is so crazy; it’s nothing like life in the States.  However, I LOVE this life!  Why wouldn’t I?  I get to spend day after day with cute, adorable children from all over the world!  I get to serve them!

Okay, so what has been happening?

Everyone at this point knows that I’ve been in Tondo and Navotas; the dumpsite and the cementry inside Manila.  Our schedule this month as the Ladies of Light is we work Tuesday to Sunday and then get Monday off.  Well, come Sunday night/Monday morning our girls started to get sick.  One after the other, they were out.  I am the ONLY one that didn’t get sick, so therefore we rested for that week.  The day we were going to return to Tondo, we found out that a teammates’ mother had passed away.  Therefore, again we needed to rest and make sure she was good and we also needed to process what that meant.  That day we also moved back to the KIM base outside of Manila and found out that a typhoon was happening  This is where Team Fuego de Dios and Nikao have been stationed for this month.  We also ran into Team Rescued Identity.  Can you imagine how nuts this has been?

So, within these past 2 weeks, Team Ladies of Light has not been doing much seen ministry.  Although, we haven’t seen or done a whole lot, our team is resilient.  Our team is going after the kingdom so much more and we are ready to get our world shaken.  We have rested and have allowed the Spirit to convict us in issues that needed to be resolved.

We aren’t sure what our ministry will look like for the rest of the month.  A couple of us are praying to go back into Tondo and Navotas, but flooding from the typhoon has created much disaster in these locations.  Facts: Families have been displaced in Tondo and Navotas and homes have been lost or destroyed.  Being that they are built right next to the ocean, they have fallen into the ocean.  It’s hard to know this as we know so many people in these locations, however we know that God is so present in that place.

WE ARE SAFE IN JESUS!  WE ARE BLESSED THAT WE HAVE WHAT WE HAVE!  I’m am experiencing lots of heartache, but also knowing that Jesus just brings me so much more peace when I am feeling this, it’s hard but also good to know that he is faithful to what we ask for.
