Do you ever hear lyrics play continuously in your head? Do you ever think God can be speaking to you about something through those words? God’s been doing something crazy in my life recently. (Recently being Training Camp from Peru last year)  He has been using what seems to be the most randomest songs to speak to my heart.  He has used Regina Spektor’s “Samson.” The lyric goes as this…”you are my sweetest downfall, I loved you first, I loved you first.” Another one has been Katy Perry’s Firework. ” Baby, you’re a firework. Come on, let your colors burst.” This one might be harder to see the meaning behind it, but when I was hearing this, God was really speaking to me about letting my light shine without fear. I can’t even tell you all the secular songs that He’s been using to bring truth into my life. This is a funny statement, because you don’t normally think about secular songs with having spiritual truth, but God certainly can do anything and has been using some of the most ridiculous lyrics to speak into my life.

 The first set of lyrics mentioned above was written by a guy I knew from college.  God has really gifted him with music and the ability to hear what God is speaking out at that time. If you like what you have seen above, then check out his music. However, I bought his music as support to him, but never knew how God was going to speak into my life. Preparing for the Race has been difficult. I have felt some very deep attack from the enemy, because he knows God IS going to move through our squad and break off chains of indifference and bring streams of life. I’ve been depressed and running away from God, when He has been speaking “Do not run from me. I am the ONLY one who can set you free from this pain.   The ONLY one who will bring peace through hardship. Cling to my truth (2 Corinthians 12:6-10)”

 These times are rough, to be point blank, but…I know there is so much greater. And I think I’m going to get a glimpse of that in less than 2 weeks!  I’m starting out early! 🙂  I fly down to Florida to hit Disney with a couple amazing and legit women!  And then…our training camp is from July 2-10th in Copperhill, TN. This is when our squad (Z-squad) will finally get to meet everyone who is going on this expedition. As I have mentioned already, I feel like our squad is already close, so you can expect God to do a ton here. Chains will be broken and hearts will be restored! Please pray this with me! I am counting on God breaking me of my wickedness for so much more of Him.
