Month 8 is coming to an end in a couple of days.
That's unbelievable. I just got here!
I have been pleasantly surprised by Africa & have fallen in love with Kenya! It's wonderfully green, the people are great and getting just 8 miles in the rain serves to big quite the adventure! I will miss the family that I have gotten to live with to both start and end my month here, as well as the beauty of Maasai Mara and my dear friend Sofy.
I have been blessed to be used this month by Him, as I got to fellowship and encourage others (proverbs 27:17). I learned more about serving, as well as how to be served. I've been privileged to breakdown stereotypes of Americans and tourists. I worked alongside the only other nurse in town at the clinic that was a few doors down from when I slept, taught division, English and the science behind cleaning latrines and toilets to my own classroom–I also emphasized the importance of good handwashing and how flies can spread disease while I had their attention! 🙂 Call me blessed! I won't deny it! I lived 2 km from the Game Reserve where I got to see the animals I always pictured when I thought of Africa. 🙂
Please look at my facebook for pictures! I am unable to put any on here at the present time–Sorry! But I hope when you look at them you get to see a glimpse of His beauty that has been apparent to me this whole month!
I am still in need of my final dollars of support! I am currently sitting at $717 and need it ASAP. Please consider giving! Any amount is helpful!! For directions on how to give financially please look at the end of my last blog (732 reasons to quit the world race). Thank you!!!
