I never thought I would be the one to quit the World Race–let alone have 732 reasons as to why.  I won't lie to you and say that I never thought about what it would be like to be home or to have gone home early.

Christmas was hard–especially since it was my first Christmas away from my family.  Valentines' Day with my boyfriend thousands of miles away wasn't ideal.  Spending Easter in the airport normally wouldn't be my first choice either.  But all of this has been a part of the deal in being away from home for 11 months to travel to 11 countries to share the love of God.  I do not regret my decision and have been immensely blessed in leaving.

I arrived in Kenya less than 1 week ago.  Being here has been a breath of fresh air–literally. 🙂  It has been so refreshing to not be sweating every hour of the day.  I have felt so blessed to have gotten to wear my jeans and pink moosejaw sweatshirt these past few days, but these days appear to be coming to an end for me.

The dilemma you see is that my support account for the world race has come to a halt.  I do not want to be sent home early; however, unless you (as well as others that you know) decide to support me financially again or for the first time, or else, then I am left with 732 reasons to "quit" the World Race with each reason directly corresponding to being a dollar short of being fully funded. (Even though I miss my friends, family and boyfriend a whole lot! I know I will see them in less than 4 months).

Please prayerfully consider supporting me financially, as well as continuing to pray for me and my team!  We are still new to each other and learning how to love each other well, moving from teammates to friends.  You can also pray for me specifically as I get to work in the clinic with the only other nurse in "town"–did I mention that we are living with and ministering to the Maasai tribe?! (We are 2 km from the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, 16 km from Tanzania).  This will be on Tuesday, her busiest day, as the market comes along with many people who live far away.
