This is just one way that He has blown me away this month..
Less than than 10 days ago we were worried that 'our kids' here at the orphanage [Cambodian Hope Association] were going to run out of this staple food, white rice. When teams like ourselves are there, the orphanage has enough money to supplement their all rice diet with some meat and veggies as well. So the fact that they were going to run out of the food that comprises the majority of all of their meals was a huge problem–in our eyes.
We posted blogs about the dire need, shared our hearts with our friends and families, as well as created an account to help fund the purchase of this much needed rice. Our teams here were really encouraged as we saw the money start to pour in. We have been able to raise close to $5,000 USD, our original goal. We are all so thankful for the people that have given and been a part of meeting this need, but as amazing as $5,000 is the sad part is that it will eventually run out.

Praise God; however, as He is the God of ABUNDANCE!! After a divine appointment with a previous team's Thailand contact in our local grocery store, a partnership has formed! The awesome organization, Remember Nhu, has decided to partner with the Cambodian Hope Association, which means that all 30 of our precious Cambodian kiddos will be getting monthly sponsors!!! 'Our kids' are going to be taken care of!!!!!!! <3
I am OVERJOYED about this! I played no hand in it, besides praying for these kids and asking God to provide more rice, yet I am so excited to simply have gotten to see how God has extended His provision much further than any of us thought to ask or imagine!
Thank You, Jesus!

Please pray for our two teams as we have to say goodbye to these sweet ones tomorrow and we are the longest teams to have ever stayed with them. Praise the Lord for the way He has provided money, rice and an abundance of joy, laughter and smiles. Pray that we don't forget a single one of them and that they continue to be & feel well loved. Also, feel free to pray for potentially our longest travel day of the race as we have some long layovers etc. We didn't get our India visas 🙁 so we are headed to Kenya a month early!! [So we are going from debrief 8 hours back to Phnom Pehn, where I currently am. We fly out from here then have a long layover in Malaysia, then one in India, then to Kenya we go–I believe ;)].
As a final side note, from what I've heard internet access in Africa is limited so don't assume the worst if you don't feel from me for a while, unless that will get you to pray for me more! 😉
