I need YOUR help! I NEED a team! I cannot do this alone! I need people who desire to help touch lives around the world. People who desire to further God's kingdom. People who just don't want to see me for 11 months 🙂 Whatever your reason is, I need YOU!
To be honest, I am completely overwhelmed by support raising. I don't really know where to start or what to do. I have no idea how to effectively share with people my heart for going and passionately express the need without telling every single person I see face to face… and unfortunately, I don't have the time to do that.
However, my friend recently encouraged me with this: "God has already raised your support as He has called you to do it. It's now simply a matter of finding out who is on your team." 🙂 Another person surprised me/ encouraged me by saying that he would like to help, but warned me by saying "I'm not Daddy Warbucks." I told him that that was more than fine and I expect that it will take an entire team of people in order to make this trip possible, which I am excited about!
I told another friend that some people have time and some people have money. "I have time, so I'm hoping others have money!" 🙂
A few reasons why I'm actually excited to be support raising:
1. I am reminded to trust God as my provider and sustainer of my life.
2. I get to see God's faithfulness in my life again!
3. It's a ministry on it's own. I've lost count of how many people I have told about it.
4. He is the God of surprises and I like surprises! 🙂
5. I have experienced the joy in giving and get to offer that opportunity to others.
So the question remains, who is on my team? I only know of a few people currently, so if you would be interested in partnering with me, please let me know! The sooner the better! because:

2. I am very eager to find out whose on my team!
3. I have deadlines that I must meet in order to go!

As a World Racer, you are required to raise $15,500.
Here is the break down:
Training Camp–$320
Field Support–$620
WR Development Program–$1,860
Administration Fees–$2,635
World Racer–$10,075
Two-thirds of the funds that I will be raising go toward my expenses for the 11 months.
My budget is further broken down into these categories…
Intercontinental Travel–$4,235.00
Food–$1,256.25
Lodging–$1,758.75
Transportation–$1,005.00
Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies–$1,115.55
In addition to the $15,500, I need the following items:
International Medical Insurance (up to $500)
Backpack (aka my closet for 11 months :))
Sleeping bag
Sleeping pad
2 person tent (under 6 lbs. & small)
Lots of vaccinations!
Traveling to and from training camp as well as our Launch location!
(I am attempting to pay for most of these items myself, but if you would like to help me along the way just comment or message me. It would be most appreciated, although not tax-deductible.)
DEADLINES: These are the deadlines that I am required to meet in order to go and stay gone! 🙂 I am most nervous for this part, even though I have experienced the Lord's faithfulness in my life countless times!
$3,500 – Due 07/01/12 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
$6,500 – Due 8/18/12 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
$11,000 – Due 11/30/12 (End of 3 months on the field)
$15,500 – Total Due 02/28/13 (End of 6 months on the field)
Other important details/ specifics on giving: If you desire to be a monthly giver, please start as soon as possible since I need all of my funds raised before the end of the 11 months! There is a convenience fee if you give online with a credit/debit card or bank draft (a 3-5% deduction from your gift).
The other two option are to mail in the check (which requires a stamp and will take about 2 weeks to show up in my account) or to use DynaPay (an automatic deduction from your checking account).

then send that in with a voided check to Adventures in Missions, Attn: Acounting, 6000 Wellspring Trail, Gainesville, GA 30506. However, you MUST contact the office when you want to stop giving. Otherwise DynaPay will continue deducting the gift each month unless you directly say "Please cancel my donation now." 🙂
