My support letter

 

Dear Friends and Family,

               I hope this letter finds you well. After spending the past two years teaching, I have been seeking the next opportunity to best utilize my gifts and abilities while serving others. In the midst of pursuing teaching jobs, the mission field has been on my heart and in my mind. I have always had a passion for helping those in need, and many of my most memorable and rewarding experiences have involved doing outreach in my local community as well as overseas. The two summers I spent in Kenya were some of the most meaningful times in my life, and I am grateful for everyone who supported me during those times.

While searching for what God's purpose is for me, I came across a mission trip called The World Race that travels to 11 countries in 11 months! It is sponsored by the organization Adventures in Missions. This is a great opportunity for me to get an experience of the mission field and explore many different cultures. It will be a time for me to be challenged and broken, and discover who I am in Jesus Christ. It will also be an opportunity to serve others through building relationships and doing acts of service for people in need all around the world.

This will be one of the most difficult things I believe I will ever do, but also the most rewarding. One of the challenges of this trip is raising support. The entire cost is $14,300. I need to have $1,000 in by the training camp in October, $5,000 before I leave in January, $10,000 by the end of March, and the full amount by the end of June.
