so i thought i would update a little bit as to where i am currently… im in england on a 10 day mission trip… uh… loving it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  God has already turly blessed me on this adventure… my team of 13 people came here to work along side some missionaries that my home church supports back home (the Mann family) who by the way have been missionaries in england for 20 years.  we arrived on friday at 10:30pm england time (we left at 6a.m our kentucky time)… we were totally exhausted, but were thrilled to have arrived in a new country.

After a short sleep, we spent saturday touring london… oh what a beautiful place… the buildings, the art, and the atmosphere of the place was, shall i say amazing… we were able to experience english culture by riding the underground (a form of subway), and the train.  one thing i loved about london was that it was actually hard to find someone there that was british… i would say i heard about 10 different languages while we were there, and saw about 10-15 different cultures walk right past me… it was amazing… london is definitely a very high tourest area.  oh i have a funny story… i was thinking that our first day in london that we would have all traditional english meals but actually, we had mcdonalds for breakfast, subway for lunch, and pizza hut for dinner… how crazy is that???  anyways, the first day in london was amazing.  that evening we made it to swindon england where we have and will be stayin on the rest of our trip.  once we had arrived we were picked up at the mann’s house by our host families… my family along with my friend alis, were the Divine family… Dino and Felicity… they might just be some of the most amazing people i have ever met in my entire life…  their love for the lord is irresistable… you see it not only in their words, but in their actions as well… they have taken ali and i in as if we were family to them… they are so good to us…

sunday morning, our team of 13 lead the service for North Swindon Baptist Church.  The church people were awesome.  after church was done, everyone from the church had brought food for us all to enjoy together at lunch… oh yeah… i must not forget tea and coffee… at lunch i was able to talk to many different people of the church, about english life, and other such things… but most importantly the start of a relationship with these people was planted… after church our host family took ali and i on a tour of some of the local tourist areas… swindon is about an hour and a half away from london, so there were things to be seen 80)  this was really a time that ali and i were able to connect with our host family and here about their story… which i will have to tell another time… the short end of the story is that, God is gracious and never gives up on those he calls out…  anyways, that evening my team also did the evening service for the church, and once again headed home with our host families… the evening was spent drinking tea and eating pudding (also known as dessert)

monday was a crazy day… who has had the experience of passing out 3000 fliers in one day… oh man… I HAVE!!!!!  the morning was spend passing out what they call hear leaflets… house to house we put leaflets into the doors (which by the way is totally acceptable in England…)  a couple conversations were started, but mostly just trying to promote a community outreach to the neighboring towns of swindon, of our up coming Family Fun day that we are doing on saturday.  by the way… pray for no rain… as of today, it’s gonna rain hard on saturday, but i believe that if we pray hard we will have a beautiful day to have the family fun day…  anyways, after lunch we headed back out again to pass our leaflets until 5 o’clock, and then headed back the mann’s house… the evening was spent going to a park and starting up a game of american football and trying to get neighbor kids to come and play with us… we actually had 2 boys come and join us, and it was a great way to connect with the kids…

today… once again we passed out leaflets… the compelete amount that we passed out all together was 5,500… so hopefully we will have a good turnout on saturday… the whole purpose of having such an event is to connect people from the community to North Swindon Baptist church… as i have learned here through the past couple of days, reaching the english people to christ is all about building relationships and showing them love… so that’s what we are helping the mann’s do… a big outreach to the community will allow people to get in conact with the church, who will be able to build even stronger relationship with the people after we leave.  anyways, after passing out the fliers we had lunch, and then spent the afternoon working on all of the games and crafts, and ext for the fun day… it was a blast building closer relationships with our team… everyone worked well with each other, and we accomplished everything that we needed to get done for the day… the evening was spent eating a traditional english meal… fish and chips… oh so good… and afterwards we went to the park again to play some more american football… this time we had 4 boys join in to play with us… seems like sports are definitely a way to draw in a younger crowd…

anyways, that’s a little update as to what is going on… i must also say that my support is at $1,140… God is pouring out his love on me with every increase in support… because i know that it is only gonna be through him that 16,800 dollars will come in..

well it is going on 12am here so i should probably head off to bed… love yall
