Called of God

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”                               Isaiah 6:8

God did not address the call to Isaiah; Isaiah overheard God saying, “Who will go for us?” The call of God is not for the special few, it is for everyone. Whether or not I hear God’s call depends upon the state of my ears; and what I hear depends upon my outlook or attitude. “Many are called but few are chosen,” that is, few prove themselves the chosen ones. The chosen ones are those who have come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ where by their disposition has been altered and their ears unstopped, and they hear the still small voice questioning all the time, “Who will go for us?” It is not a question of God singling out man and saying, “Now, you go.” God did not lay a strong compulsion on Isaiah; Isaiah was in the presences of God and he overheard the call, and realized that there was nothing else for him but to say, in conscious freedom, “Here I am, send me.” Get out of you mind the idea of expecting God to come with compulsions and pleadings. When our Lord called His disciples there was no irresistible compulsion from outside. The quiet passionate insistence of His “Follow Me” was spoken to men with every power wide awake. If we let the Spirit of God bring us face to face with God, we too shall hear something similar to what Isaiah heard, the still small voice of God; and in perfect freedom will say, “Here am I; send me.”                                                                              (Oswald Chambers – My Utmost for His Highest)

GOD DOES NOT CALL THE EQUIPPED, HE EQUIP’S THE CALLED.

This was not exactly me. I wasn’t necessarily in the presence of God. No to tell you the truth I was probably far from it. I went to Him desperately seeking a means of getting over myself, and my crap. I first told Him He had to “do something with me know, it has to be drastic and it has to be fast.” Then God did lay on me a strong compulsion to look beyond myself and go on the World Race. I desired change. Little did I know it would come so drastically and quickly. But it did. I think you can either be in His presence, walking closely with Him to hear His sweet voice, His quiet promptings or you can get to a point of desperation and CRY out to Him to rescue you from your wrong choices. It’s YOUR CHOICE.

There is an overall Call to our Life. Romans 11:29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. An overall commission Matthew 28:18-2018Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I just LOVE how He tells us that He is WITH US; That He will tell us, guide us, show us, protect us, and LOVE us through it ALL.

We have a God of Specifics… A God of Details…

He reveals things to us in His own time… and we have a responsibility to respond.

Through the rainbow colored sequence look how He tells Saul what to do and how specific it is.

Acts 26:16

16‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. 17I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them 18to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

This is the list that we went through in the teaching… some of them are TRUTHS to encourage us in our response while others are actions.

Servant – has a master. Someone they serve under. Submitting to someone elses dream first?

Witness – testify what they saw. A progressive  witness, continuously testifying.

1.)    1.)      You will bring about change, a change maker (an element of danger)

2.)    2.)      Jesus is your bungee cord (allowing us to take risks that involve danger while we are still attached to Him and able to be pulled out)

3.)    3.)     Requires movement -> Get going

4.)    4.)     Have spiritual eyes. Open spiritual eyes & ears…
                                                         to help others open their’s

5.)    5.)     Give them Hope (am I hope filled?)

6.)    6.)      Requires Accountability (so be obedient!)

First I was called by God to follow Jesus. While following Jesus there were things that I needed to get rid of in my life, to cut off. There were also something’s I needed to pick up the habit of to build a stronger relationship with Him. While going through some pruning, I came to points that I frustrated because I didn’t want to die to self, I wanted to maintain habits, and addictions perhaps… when I got sick of that, when I found no fruit in living the way I was… in utter desperation I cried to Him to CHANGE ME. And HE HAS!Through His LOVE

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance?              Romans 2:4

With this said, I am now seeking His detailed guidance in the SPECIFIC call on my life. There are things that are falling into play, passions, and hearts desires welling up. Ideas and plans being worked on and joy and excitement rising.

I encourage you to ask yourself… Do you know the call on your life?  Have you answered the general call… to see faith, trust and love built in that area first?  And if so… have you considered the fact that there IS a specific call on your life?  You were made for a purpose!  What is it?  What would it look like to know… and actually WALK in it?

Things are good here in GA, and I will pass on the direction I am getting. I love sharing my heart and I appreciate all the blog comments and encouragement. As I share… Please feel free to get ahold of me if you yourself are inspired to help out in any way. Be it financial, networking, or prayer. I would gratefully receive it all.

Thank you for caring enough to read. I am learning more and more how to share this heart of mine. Blogging isn’t as good as sharing in person, so I am working on it.

My Love and Sincere Thanks to You who reads, You who cares, You who donates and You who lifts me up in Prayer.
