God Gives Me Hearts

  just last night, it was the remaining frosted part to an ice cube                                                                             

I started to fall in love with God in an intimate way back in month 2 of the race. The first heart I remember getting (trying to find the pict) was one that was on the back of a plastic scoop that I scooped a kool-aid drink of sorts with. As I tipped the scoop to dump the powder, I noticed on the back there was an area that the powder didn’t catch. It was like a bald spot on the back in the shape of a heart. I knew it was God giving me a little love note saying, “I love you.” My love language is giving gifts,  in a mesh outhouse door (from Anna Coffey)

So I have been getting hearts in random locations all year… and still do. It’s AMAZING, SPONTAINOUS, and ROMANTIC!

Here’s when God revealed more about the meaning to these hearts… two instances. The first was a note from my beautiful friend Bekah Kraft… God told me through her that not only does He tell me He loves me with the notes, but that

 He also is Thanking me for my obedience. That was told to me month 9… and also this…

Walking down a road in Romania, I saw a heart shaped rock. It was stuck in the pavement so it was one I couldn’t pick up. I went to it, and looked at it and said to God, “Thank YOU.” As I continued walking, Cameron Caviness saw me and yelled…”what was that?” I said to him, “God gives me hearts.” He said, “oh, Yeh… where do you get them?” I responded… I don’t know… everywhere. In rocks, leaves, clouds, in the fire, in my hair… lots of places.” He said, “that’s awesome… God gives you hearts…” I said, “yeh.”

He said again, “God gives you hearts” I responded, “yeh” he said for the third time, “GOD GIVES YOU HEARTS”… a snag in the rug

I was like “WHOA”… and Cam was too… HE did not say any of what I heard spoken to my heart, but he knew. 

About an hour or so later… Cam came to me and said you guess what I got… and gave me this…

He said…”You are definitely Pursued.” And I was almost blushing. 

Now… since this has gone on throughout the year… teammates have seen how excited I get when I receive “love notes” from the LORD… they know I am crazy for Him… and when they find heart shaped things they pass them on to me… God reminds them of me when they see it. So they give me their hearts… one way or another… and I fall more and more in love with Him… what a wonderful gift. HEARTS.

MADLY in LOVE with MY GOD. What a INTIMATE, BEAUTIFUL, DETAILED, AFFECTIONATE, and LOVING GOD we have… HE HAS CAPTIVATED MY HEART… and as He continues to give me hearts I am more and more FILLED with LOVE for HIM.
