I can’t thank you all enough for your
prayers, and financial support. Thank
you for following me and commenting on my blogs here and there. It’s nice to get a taste of “home” every so
often. Things are going well out here in
the world. God has really stretched and
grown me in many ways.
Still, more to come most definitely, but
thankful for the testing and trials thus far.
It means SO much to know how loved and missed
I am back home. It helps me get through
some of the tough days.
Thank you for continuously supporting me and
attending my fundraisers and ones held in my honor. J
My family is the best thing in my life, next
to my relationship with God. They mean
the world to me and need to know I couldn’t be doing any of this without their
love.
God makes all things possible… and I love how
He is developing their character in helping send me out on a call of my life at
this time.
Amazed, Humbled and Grateful for the blessing
my family is on my life.
well. JORDANITES this includes you.
checking in on me. It really shows you
care and touches my heart in ways I hadn’t known.
These fundraisers hold great importance to
the work being done on this race. God’s
work. Not only in sending me out to be
His hands and feet. But also to Glorify
His name.
The MOST important part to all is HIM.
So I THANK YOU and I give total and complete
PRAISE to GOD for HE is in all of this. He is in charge, and is happy with His children who desire to seek Him
and obey.
This is from my sister Meghann… I just wanted
to share with you what she had to say because I fully agree and am humbled by
her heart and her willingness to serve.
** PLEASE
forward this email to all your teammates and anyone else who supported the 4 on
4 sand v ball tourney on Saturday **
I can’t say it enough… THANK YOU
all so much for making the 4 on 4 sand volleyball tournament fundraiser on
Saturday such a success!
Despite the awful weather, everyone had GREAT attitudes, giving hearts and
smiles on their faces :o) I had a blast, so I hope
you did as well! Thank you to all who donated silent auciton items, food,
drinks, tents, property, money and time. It does not go unnoticed, and we
can’t wait to tell Rachel about all the WONDERFUL people “back home”
that are thinking about her, praying for her and supporting the great work she
is doing around the world!
RESULTS:
“We Dig 4-Play” (Blue’s team) = 1st place
money back to Rachel… THANK YOU)
“The Mitches” (Mitch’s team) = 2nd place
“Banana Slugs” (Jaclyn’s team) = 3rd place
I heard plenty of people talking about making this an annual event… so look
for emails in the future (this time next year Rachel will be back too, and I’m
sure she’d love to thank you in person)!
In the mean-time, keep up-to-date with her journey at rachelhartman.theworldrace.org
Thanks again!

Thank you – to all who stuck it out on such
an icky day. Mom said not many people
were there, but they were the right people. How true it is sometimes. God has
us where He wants us and needs us to those who follow Him. Lessons to learn in absolutely everything, we
just have to ask Him what they are.
Thank You to Lance – Blue – Meghann &
Nate who I know all played a huge
role in the day. My bestest girlfriends
Ansley, Mandy, Nikki, Jenny, Kristie, and Amy. THANK YOU.
And my Family…
MOMM’s
DAD – (I heard you were quite the help, as
always) THANK YOU
MEGHANN – I am proud of you.
LAUREN – I heard you had a lot to do with
pictures and blogs…
DAVID – uh… ? I know you love me… and that
gets you by… wink.
3 weeks or so for I will be TENTING in Mozambique. Here is a map…
I will be in an area called
Valanculous (not sure how it’s spelled) but is sounds like that. On the coast near Beira. Some teams are going to Zimbabwe,
some to Zambia, one staying
in South Africa
where we are right now (Nelspruit). All
over the place and ALL in tents!
I’m not really nervous to tent…
things are definitely going to be UNCOMOFORTABLE… but we’ll survive. I know I will… after a fall through a roof…
God has really deepened my faith and my confidence in HIM. SO.
Here are some overall prayer
requests… please pass on.
*The Presence and Protection of
God
*Safe Travels
(many teams many places and
rough travel conditions… BUS! and VERY VERY long rides)
*Health (Malaria is an issue
here… even though it’s their winter)
*High Spirits and Willingness to
Endure some uncomfort
*Miracles (God shows up in BIG
ways in AFRICA because of genuine
faith that He heals… which HE
does!)
*Team / Squad Unity – a true
sense of FAMILY…
(things are going well)
All right… that’s it. I have to get going because I need to play in
another Bean Bag tournament before we pack up and leave later this
afternoon. Miles and I are on a
team! It’s serious business here… we are
starting at 7:00am. I have a back appointment at 8 or so and then enjoying our
last day at the Bator House in South
Africa. God is good and I am grateful.
Talk to you in a few weeks… Peace
and Love to all.
