  The Anointed Garage – –

After finding out I was accepted to The World Race I figured I better get at this raising money thing. Being it was still Garage Sale season I thought it would be good to get rid of some things and make a little money in the mean time. Now mind you I have been to a handful of garage sales in my day and our family has never had a sale because they are TOO much work and a BIG mess. We’ve always just donated our things.

Mom & LindaI rounded the troops up… Me, my Mom andMiddle Sissy Meghann Sisters. We gathered clothes and things we didn’t need or use. I asked for donations from friends and other family members and in no time I had a FULL garage of Stuff! Friends lent a hand, cuz we didn’t know what we were doing!  I advertised in the Newspaper and made lots of yard signs…

   Mom and I prayed over the garage sale and asked God for us to be a blessing to those that visited. Wow! God sent some neat people our way! The friends and family support was absolutely wonderful, but it was the new acquaintances that blew us away!

From our New Friend Kevin, who lost his son in the Iraq war, later came to church with us and hopefully felt the love of Jesus through us…
to a New friend Derek who (my age) is on fire
for Christ and Leading his young family and community to a life with Jesus. There were so many that either had done mission work or knew people that have been in the mission field that lent me Support and a Peace of mind about what I am signed up for. 
Or just people who simply commented on the Christian music we continuously had playing in the background. The striking up of conversation about faith and mission work was Refreshing and Supportive.
How Fun it was to have Children come and find little things that are junk to us but new toys and temporary interests to them. Never a dull moment with children, huh! J

      All these little experiences and New Friendships are awesome ways God
shows us His Love. When you go to bed at night with a smiling heart because
of a Good day… a day filled with meeting new people and sharing the things
that God has going on in my life, is pretty cool.   Chris & Mary

      Another thing I am Thankful for in the Anointed Garage is the building up
of Relationships with my mom and sisters through this all… there had been
some ups and downs in our personal lives during the past 3 weeks and this
garage brought Shelter to Prayer and Healing and Laughter and
Encouragement in Christ.  
                                         
       Now, as for the Raising Money thing… an Incredible side note to the Anointed Garage Story… a total of about $3000.00!!! – – At a GARAGE Sale! There wasn’t anything major sold either… no treadmills, or bikes or big things! Crazy! The money will be covering overseas medical insurance, vaccinations and travel equipment. Amazing!

*Lord, Thank You for Your covering of love in the Anointed Garage… Thank You for the Healing, Laughter and Fellowship. Lord, You are so GOOD and You know what pleases our Hearts. Thank You for the success financially and for the New Friends… Thank You for the Blessings we were able to be to anyone who entered… 

                        Praise You Lord for Who You Are.
