One of the most painful things to go through is change. Change, however, is vital to the Christian life.

When you become a Christian there is change that HAS to happen. The Bible promises a transformation. You cannot continue in the worlds ways. This includes attitudes, mind-sets, priorities, goals, relationships, everything. There is nothing in you life that is NOT effected by this necessary transformation.

But its not easy.

This is an intense challenge.

Who you were is now resisting who you are and should be.

It has been revealed to me that "if there is no challenge there is no change"

You may, I may, sit back and recognize there is a challenge but not accept it and therefore no change will be produced. We can live in fear of the struggle and suffering associated with this challenge or choose to courageously walk through it knowing that the LORD has our best interest in mind and is beside us through the trial.

Courage is a funny thing. We think that having a courageous moment means that all fear was gone and so we did something that would otherwise terrify us. The truth is that the fear is there when its time to choose to be courageous or to shrink back. True courage is being terrified and doing something anyway. The way it feels to sky dive, or white water raft, and probably the way that it feels for a man to purpose to a women.

Definitely the way Jesus felt right before He was crucified, when he was sweating blood and asking the Father if there was any other way, to let this cup pass.

Jesus was willing to walk through fear. He understood that His choice changed the course of history.

I will follow Jesus in His sufferings. I will not be afraid of the change, I will embrace the hard days and broken nights. The tears that water seeds of joy, and the brokenness that brings out true beauty. Knowing that it isn't easy, but its so so worth it. so that if you follow me, you follow Jesus.

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will.transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12: 1 & 2

Sometimes this is hard, really really hard. If you think I'm on vacation, I'm not. If you think its all butterflies and rainbows…although there are great times …youre mistaken. But there is a joy that is unspeakable and a God who has never ever left me, I am not in this alone.

Im breaking down, Im breaking down the pieces of me that don't belong on a daughter of the KING, and I know HE isnt done yet. Thats okay, if it means I get to look more like Jesus every day I will take it.
