This post has been a long time coming, But we are in month two.
My team "Isha" is at "Joy Filled Homes" along with another all girl team "O.I.L"
Joy filled homes is an orphanage for special needs children. They go to school, have chores, play games and are totally surrounded with love!
The first day that we arrived I met Daniel.
I had heard about him from Maureen, our ministry contact. She told me his story which I do plan to share with you in a later blog.
We were tired from traveling and trying to figure out where we were setting up our tents, and wanting to just get settled in and rest and Daniel was watching us smiling. He was singing to himself "How great is our God" in English!
It was difficult to identify the song but as soon as I did I started singing with him. He got SO excited!
Daniel started shouting…." THIS IS MY AMIGA! SHE IS MY FRIEND! MY FRIEND! "
He took my purse from my arm and grabbed my hand and walked me down the hall.
It was one of the most precious things ever, all I had to do was join in worship of my creator and I was deemed a suitable friend. He did not leave my side for the rest of the day. I was so blessed.
I have never been welcomed with such enthusiasm, I think I have a lot to learn from Daniel.

I will keep my eyes out for lessons this month.
