Its amazing how God works.
I have no breath taking miracle to tell you about right now, but this is how I see God moving in my life.
He is teaching my about discernment. what is it?
Discerment :
The ability to judge well.
A term used to describe the activity of determining the value and quality of a certain subject or event.
You may think yourself – " self, that is important. In everday life being able to decern is great, in life far from home living in unfamiliar places with unfamiliar people this is crutial." Or maybe you didnt, but I did. Because I saw the value in such a charactaristic I was curious…how do I learn this?
1. Through the reading a scripture. – we learn the scripture and meditate on it so that it is in our hearts and minds so that when a situation comes up we can run it by scripture. If we have a thought we know it may be from the LORD if it lines up with scripture. Its the right choice if scripture backs it up….ect…
2. Through the Holy spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11. awesome, spiritual discerment.
this is so important, so vitale. To be able to judge corretly. to be able to see through what someone says to thier heart. To have the ability to tell if a person who is saying "yes, everything is great" is actually really hurting and needs the hope you have to offer through Christ, some encouragment, someone to listen someone to love them. OR if someone says you can trust them and this is not the truth. The spirit inside of you who IS truth, and the scripture you have in your heart that is truth will warn you!
Im excited to develope this quality even now in preparation for the world race, and I pray that my squad begins to grow in this too!
