Many of you have asked how support raising is going so I’d thought I’d give a much needed update. 

First off I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has given so far.
 For those of you who are supporting me monthly and quarterly, thank you for your continued giving. 
And to the random anonymous giver: THANK YOU! I have no other way to say it except on here, hoping that you’ll see it.  God has been reminding me to trust Him throughout this whole process.  I know that since He has called me to it He WILL provide. 
So I'll give you what you want to know…the actual numbers.

My goal is $15,500. As of today, March 24th, I have $5,749 in my account!! That’s over 1/3 of the way there!!

If you haven’t given yet but would like to and are wondering about deadlines, don’t worry- you have plenty of time.  I actually don’t have to have all my money in until December, halfway through the trip.
 
These are the deadlines I have to meet in order to continue on:
May 7th (2 weeks before training camp begins): $3,500.  This has been met- praise the Lord!
June 17th (2 weeks before departure date): $6,500.  Only $751 to go!
October 1st (End of 3 months in the field): $11,000
Jan 1st (End of 6 months on the field): $15,500.
 
If you are wondering how you can give a tax deductible donation, here’s the rundown:
Give online: Click on the “Support Me” tab on the left.  This walks you through how to give and is probably the most convenient way to give, BUT there is A CATCH! 5% of the gift you give online is deducted from my trip to go toward credit card fees. If you’d rather not do this, you can….
Give by mail:  You can also find the information to do this by clicking on the “Support Me” tab on the left.  Choose the “give by mail” option and it will give you the address to send it to.  Put “Rachel Balson” on the memo line of the check.  When giving by check, the full amount goes to my trip.
