Rassvet, Moldova, our ministry site for the next month. The city, in other words, town, in other words, village has about 250 people. We have access to two small stores (store is kind of a relative term overseas, in case you were wondering) where we can buy cokes, bread, and very questionable meat.
Where we be livin'.
Our abode this month is a small house with 2 bedrooms, a common room, and a kitchen. We have electricity, but no running water. There's a well near our house, and we carry about 10-15 buckets of water each day (carrying water is way better than any arm workout) in order to wash dishes and take showers. Dinner is prepared on a small camping stove, and dessert is prepared by opening a box of cookies.
The house we're staying in this month.
What we be doin'.
This month our focus for ministry is having a kids camp for children in the village. Hanging out with kids everyday? Fine by me. We usually have between 20 and 30 kids show up, and everyday the kids keep bringing more and more of their friends. We do things like play games with the kids, sing songs, and have a Bible study or a discussion time.
The kids taught us a game where you jump over two lines on the ground. Sounds exciting, huh?
Dorina and I, this girl has been such a blessing to me this month.
These kids are so hungry for love and attention, please pray for our team as we continue to show them Christ's love this month!
