” How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messanger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!
The watchmen shout and sing with joy, for before their very eyes they see the Lord returning to Jerusalem.
Let the ruins of Jerusalem break into joyful song, for the Lord has comforted his people.
He has redeemed Jerusalem.
The Lord has demonstrated His Holy power before the eyes of all the nations.
All the ends of the earth will see the victory of our God.
Get out! Get out and leave your captivity where everything you touch is unclean.
Get out of their and purify yourselves, you who carry home the sacred objects of the Lord.
You wil not leave in a hurry running for your lives.
For the Lord will go ahead of you, yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind. “
Pearl church brings the word. I love it. I’m so thankful for my church family here in Portland. Today the message was on stepping into our true identities. We are the temple of the holy living God, a royal priesthood. We are given the very words of God, and the spirit and power of the Lord to speak those truths to the world. “We are here to tell the acts of him, who called us out of darkness.” ( Carl Bark). To step into our identity as daughters and sons of the holy living God, who came into this world and took our sin upon him, died and rose on the 3rd day in atonement for all of our sins, is to believe and trust that God is transforming us and our relationship with him to go back to the times of Adam and Eve, when they walked in the garden. I want that relationship with the Lord, before sin, before death, where we walk and talk like old friends.
That’s what this year is about, it is a step into what the rest of my life will be. I want to be transformed, dependent, and clinging to the God of the universe for all that I need. To step out of my comfortable life here in the known, and step into the unknown, and into the life that he created me for. I don’t know where that will lead, I have no idea what I’ll look like on the other side. But i know that I will be drawing closer to the Savior, and the plans he has for me, the plans he has for all of us, are more beautiful than we could ever imagine.
