India is over. Month one was a tough start to my race.

I’m writing this from the kitchen floor, my bed, in Nepal. Yes, it is two weeks late because this is what happens when you are on the race and wifi is not always around.

Something they always tell us is to not drink the water. The water in India WILL make you sick. I was sick about a month ago and it was not fun. Not that being sick in America is fun, but you know. It felt like there was an NFL team scrimmage going on inside of my stomach. I was laying on the street, in the middle of the night, waiting for the bus to come take me to get a new passport 7 hours away, in the fetal position. There was still no comfort to be found. Not in the fetal position, and not after projectiling into the toilet earlier. It was awful. I think it was from ice cream… which was made from the dirty water.

I was listening to a podcast from Epiphany Fellowship my last week in India and Pastor Eric Mason mentioned Jeremiah 2:13. “for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.”

India is full of idolatry. Hindu gods are painted on everything. Many of the LORD’s children there have paint on their foreheads indicating that they have been sacrificing to an idol and worshipped recently.

This verse is on my heart for the entire nation. That they would stop drinking the water. They have forsaken the LORD for too long and He has been so patient with them. But God is after their hearts. He wants them. They are drinking from broken vessels and ingesting poison from these wells.

Their gods don’t speak. Their gods don’t perform signs or wonders. Their gods cannot save. Their gods look ridiculous.

My God reigns. He lives! He LIVES!! HE LIVES!!! My God is the Living God. The One True God. The God of the heavens and the earth. The Creator God. My God loves. My God is real. My God is after their hearts.

India is on the verge of a revolution. After talking with several worship leaders that travel the state of Andhra Pradesh, I felt the same. That God is bringing His Spirit upon many many hindus. That they are coming to the Lord Jesus through worship. I only was able to see a tiny piece of the snapshop of what God is doing in India. But these leaders can see everything a little more clearly. And they see freedom beginning to be poured out.

This is encouraging! God is opening hearts to see the broken cisterns that contain tainted, infested, defiled water. I know that once they get a taste of the Living Water, they won’t be able to stop drinking.

God, continue to reveal the Gospel throughout India and usher in a season of freedom for those who are stuck drinking from vessels of death.
