First, family and friends. I am in DC and well! I found out planes and my inner ear fluid don’t like each other and I was crazy nauseous yesterday from it all, but I bought meds today and am looking forward to God healing me completely from motion sickness- with or without dramamine.

I don’t blog on command. I can’t conjure up all the emotions and thoughts about what God is doing on command. Introverts can’t talk about everything when immediately called upon- we just don’t work like that.

If you pass us and say, “Hey. What’s up?” Or the awfully overused, “Hey! How are you?” We want to answer you honestly. We will answer you honestly sometimes. When you ask questions like that to an introvert, they want to tell you how they are- but we need a second to process it all. Most of us don’t answer those questions, we have learned how to conform and just nod and keep walking… When really, inside of us, we are thinking, “Hmm, how am I?”

That’s how I feel right now. There’s a lot going on. God is moving. For real. Chains are being broken.

I want to write about that. What is He saying right now?

So brace yourselves, my fearless supporters, because this is going to be a jumbled mess. But mess is good. God creates order in the mess. Order out of chaos. God works in the mess. He loves it! Then He is glorified.

I started reading on the life of David a little ago to see what it looks like to be a man “after God’s heart,” a man of character, a warrior for the LORD (YAHWEH). At church we worshiped in song with the words “You are God of the breakthrough!” How beautiful!

I came across a passage in 2 Samuel a couple days later. So David defeated the Philistines after God had said “I will surely give the Philistines into your hand.”

Which means that God fulfilled His promise! And He still does! Verse 20 says, “And David came to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there. And he said, “The LORD has burst through my enemies before me like a bursting flood.” Therefore the name of that place is called Baal-perazim.”

What does Baal-perazim mean?? You got it! “lord of bursting through.” I started laughing when I read it because of that song I had recently sung out to Him!

Our God is the LORD of bursting forth, of the breakthrough! He is actively bursting through chains and foundations and walls and barriers, anything and everything so that He will be glorified! And we get to experience His amazing love when that happens.

God bursts forth and destroys everything that causes us to move or be apart from Him so that we would know His real and perfect love that is BUSTING THROUGH!

Why would God want me? I don’t know. Every time I ask Him He just says, “Because I do. I love you. You are MY BELOVED CHILD.” Chills.

God wants to burst through in your life. Whatever it is, He wants to break down those walls, like those that surrounded Jericho, in your life. God is waiting to break through for you, for you! So that you would know and feel and really know His love. Let Him burst through. Ask Him to do it. Because He is so much better.

Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.” And then goes on, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

So God will you burst through like a powerful rushing wave and show that You are God of the breakthrough. Fill us up so that we can pour out and shine for You, then burst through again!
