Last December I graduated with my degree in Interior Design, of which I’m not sure what to do with! Initially I felt so lost as all my friends were moving away, most to pursue careers. I was completely lost as to where to go, who to be, and also struggling with a recent breakup. Now I see all of this was to prepare me for something very specific and very BIG…the World Race of COURSE! I am thankful for all the challenges that have brought me to this point and cannot wait to be refined even further….

One of my dreams/hopes is to move people whether it be with art or writing or whatever. I want their spirit to wake up because of one of my photographs. I’m tempted to say it’s a high expectation but the Lord moves my spirit through art and I can’t be the only one.

So about a year ago I started praying about what my next steps would be in my life. I knew that I have a heart from missions and a heart for youth. A friend told me about The World Race so I started to look into it and pray about it. God’s timing worked out prefect in my life as it always has. For now I can only sit back and wait to see what new things God wants to do in my life.

Most of my childhood memories are rooted in Missouri, as I still call it my true home. For 16 years, I enjoyed the flat lands of the Midwest. The landscape was what most people would expect in mid-America, complete with unending cornfields and dirty dairy cows. Most of the time, I ran around the woods with a hatchet pretending to be a brave adventurer, traveling to foreign lands in my mind; it’s amazing the places you can go as a child with a big imagination.

Seeking God is my main focus in life though and I desire to know Him better everyday. I want to change the world. I don’t want to live an ordinary life. So first I must start by saying I have the most amazing team EVER!!! God is so awesome, he put together a special group of people who are ready to build up the Kingdom of God in 2o11/forever.
The meaning behind Team Ripple Effect:
We really wanted to do more than visit the Countries we are traveling to next year. We wanted to start our own movement, like a ripple effect. When we visit these countries we want to leave an impact on every individual we meet, we want to share the love of God with everyone we come into contact with. In return we pray those who have been touched by the love of God continue the movement by sharing that love with someone else and so on, and so on. We are traveling to 11 Countries and we pray that like a ripple on still water God’s impact on those we meet would continue to spread until every Country has been impacted. It was from this vision that team Ripple Effect was birthed.
