We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on
this mission trip. So, here is what I’m expecting…
Here
is a list of some of my expectations…

I Expect…
–  To be changed forever.
–
To hear from God in a way I have never experienced.
–
To be completely wrecked.
–
To meet some amazing new friends.
–
To see this world with a new perspective.
–  To live outside of my comfort zone.
–  To smack the “American Dream” in the face.
–
To miss everyone I love back home.
–
To discover the true me.
–  To share the love of God.
–
To be humbled.
–  To work like I have never worked before.
–  To have a lot of early mornings.
–  To experience Grace
–  To be broken.
–  To witness miracles
–  To be lifted up.
–  To help those in need.
–
To have the time of my life.
–
To build up my passion for Christ even further.
–
To love like I have never loved before.
–
To experience all new cultures and learn about their people.
–
To completely surrender myself to God.
–
To eat all different kinds of food.
–
To laugh, cry, scream, get frustrated, etc.
–
To see things I never thought I would see.
–
To see God build up my future.
–  To laugh at these expectations when the race
is over!!! (;

I
am excited to see how God works in my life during, before, and after the race.
There are so many things to expect, and it’s hard to place them into one blog!!
I know one thing though; I know that God is working in my life. I know that God
is preparing me for a life of sacrifice, a life that most people would not want
to live. Whatever god has in store for me I say “use me lord for I am willing”.
This race is the beginning of my new life.
