That’s it. The end of
another season.
Some of us from my color group in our Iris T-shirts on graduation day.
It suddenly hit me on the last day of school how much I’m
going to miss this community of laid down lovers. A community that’s, yes, hard
a lot of times, especially with 12 people in a house, but when we come together
to worship, it’s abandoned lives and hungry hearts for more of God. And that’s
incredible. It’s powerful. Accountability is always the hardest when you’re by
yourself, but I just trust that God will bring me community.
On community.
Something that I realized at the end of these 3 months here
at Harvest School living with 11 other women in the same house is that community doesn’t come just because you
live in the same house.
I really thought that at the end of these 3 months the girls
living in my house would be much closer, but because feedback doesn’t happen
everyday, neither does those hard conversations that grow you so much on the
Race.
On a side note, a miracle happened to me about a week
ago.
I had gone to the beach right across from the base for a
swim. As I came out of the water, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my right
wrist. I looked down and there was a little bug-size blue jellyfish stuck to my
wrist. I quickly flicked it off with my left hand and my left little finger got
stung too. The stings hurt really bad.
By the time we got back on base which is like a 5-minutes
walk, there were already swellings all around my wrist. The pain got worse
until my elbow was hurting too (not sure why). When I touched the swellings,
they hurt even more.
Before taking a bucket shower, I prayed over it and
commanded all pain and swellings to leave right now in Jesus’ name. When I
finished my shower, the pain and swellings were completely gone! No redness, no
pain, no itchiness whatsoever. From my history of insect bites, every time I
get any kind of bites, it always swells up ridiculously for days and itches
like crazy, and then it leaves an ugly mark. So I know that this could not have
happened on its own, ONLY GOD! Thank you Jesus!
On 10-days Bush Bush
Outreach.
We’ll be leaving either Saturday or Sunday into the villages
for a 10-days outreach. I heard something about a 18-hours drive(!) Please pray
for us as we head out as a new team (we’ve never really worked together
before). Pray for team unity, protection, but most of all for God’s love to
come crashing down on the villages! Also I twisted my right knee while trying
to do some fancy dance moves, haha. I can walk but it’s still swollen and the
doctor said that I really need to rest, ice it and elevate it. But that’s
pretty impossible right now. Praying for a MIRACLE!
