Hey everyone!

We made it safely to Rwanda!  It's so beautiful here and our contact's are absolutely amazing!  We are staying with Pastor Robert and his family, which brings the number of people staying in the house up to 18 (but it's a big house).  This month we have power and running water, which is such a blessing.  We are all sharing one room this month, but it's nice, big and fun to be together.  We are spoiled this month with the food we are eating!  We typically get fries, rice, vegetables and some form of meat with every meal, not to mention fruit at the end for dessert!

So far this month we have been working with Pastor Robert's church, teaching English, as well as some door-to-door evangelism.  The adults of the church are so eager to learn the English language, which is so awesome.  The best part though of our day, is that we get to hike 3 miles to our church, which is on top of a mountain- crazy!  Let's just say I'm going to be ripped by the end of this month!

I have been going through 1 Samuel with Rachel, one of my teammates, and God has been teaching me a lot through it.  Hannah has been such an example to me in the way she adapts and reacts to the situation given to her by the Lord.  She isn't afraid to petition her requests to the Lord, but it is always ultimately laid down at His feet and given to Him.  I think in this same way, as I am traveling from country to country, I am learning to adapt to the new situations and environments that are given to me.

On a heavier note, a few of my teammates are still lacking the necessary funds to finish the race.  I cannot tell you how much the love of Christ pours out of them and how many lives they have changed through this trip so far.  November 1st is our next deadline, and 3 girls are in risk of going home, so if you could help that would be greatly appreciated!
