a squad. We’re E Squad. As a squad we all go to the same countries. Then
we’re split into smaller teams. This
is my team: Rafa Warriors. Rafa is the Hebrew word
for healing. Melissa. Leah. Dura. Andrea. Anjali. Amanda. And myself. 7 girls.
The ALL girls team! For 11 months, these are the girls I will be living with,
traveling with, doing ministry with and am super psyched to be on the same team
as these girls.

been the regular work life. I currently work part time at a non-profit
organization called Ontario Streams doing stream/wetland restoration and
monitoring. I get to work outside so I cannot complain. I have been hugely
blessed to be still working since my contract technically ended at the end of
August and it’s now November. Work life has been hard. I have had doubts for
going on this trip since I’ve returned from training but I am constantly reminded that I NEED to be doing this. One of my
doubtful moments stemmed from a full time position opening up at my workplace.
It would have been a DREAM to land a full time job so quickly after graduation
but I know now is now the time for it.
heard that one of my full time co workers, Heather, was leaving. I wanted to
learn more about what she was doing so our conversation went like this:

have been other moments where people right then and there willing to give me
money. When I’m feeling discouraged about fundraising God has placed people in
my life willing to support what I’m doing which is pretty cool and encouraging.
