I am 100% pain free!
My back is no longer in pain, and I am going back to the race!
i went to see the lovely Dr. Ray today, and he released me to be back with my amazing team for the remaining seven months!

And this is proof that I received my medical release that I will frame proudly! 🙂
So, obviously, the injections in my back worked.
Last Tuesday was when I had my injections in my spine, and they hurt so bad.
As the days went on, I became more sore, and had less pain. (Which is a good thing)
Friday came along, and I had no pain.
I was too scared to tell anybody, because I wasn't sure if the pain would come back.
Then comes Saturday, and there was still no pain!
Praise Abba!
I am beyond ready to see my beautiful squad again in just 19 days!
My mom and I were just talking about the last month and how crazy it has all been,
And she told me that she was talking to one of her clients/my neighbor/my prayer warrier/my supporter Jill, who thought of some crazy things.
Let's go back in time for a minute.
August 2005, I had a major back surgery, and had extra bone removed that was causing me to have back spasms, and my legs would go numb, taking away my ability to walk.
Dr. Sucato performed my surgey at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for children, and he did an amazing job.
It took over a year to get back to normal, and be pain free.
Around that same time, a good friend of mine, Stephanie, also had back surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
(Her father, Dr. David Bragg, is my family doctor, and had done a consultation with me in Moldova via Facecam, and looked at my x-rays over the phone, and pretty much diagnosed what was wrong!)
Now fast forward to Sunday, September 16, when I got the call that I was returning to the US to get medical treatment on my back.
After informing my parents, my mom called Stephanie, who now is a nurse at Scottish Rite, to ask to what age would Dr. Sucato continue seeing patients, since it was a children's hospital.
She quickly informed us to call the charge nurse that night to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible.
Monday morning, Dr. Sucato's nurse called, and was intrigued with the story.
She soon shared it with him, who is now Chief of Staff over the whole hospital.
Because of my age, Dr. Sucato had to refer me to an adult doctor at Texas Spine Consultants.
Dr. Kendall Carll saw me the morning after I flew in.
Dr. Carll got me in that day to have an MRI at a different location, where the MRI tech asked if he could pray for me.
Medications followed quickly, and I had a follow up with him on Monday, the 24th.
I continued to rest, but still had pain in my back.
Dr. Carll then refered me to see Dr. Ray to talk about injections, where I was able to be seen that day, Monday the 1st.
Dr. Ray examined me, and said that I should get injections done as soon as I could.
His associate, Dr. Spicer, was able to squeeze me in the next day, Tuesday for injections.
Normally, the wait to see ANY specialist, could be weeks.
I am not wealthy, I am not famous, I am just a regular young woman.
But I know now, God had a plan.
God knew from the moment of the first injury, that this would bring me to today knowing that the World Race gave me only 30 days to heal.
God knew this ahead of time, and opened EVERY door, so I could go back to doing HIS will.
Why are we so shocked when God does His business?
We say we are believers, but it blows us away when we see things like this happen.
We should not be surprised by this, because our God is awesome.
We know that He can do all things, so we shouldn't be shocked whenever these ridiculous things happened.
He knew it all along, but it just took us a while to figure it out.
Thanks Jill.
