I hate being in pain.

For real.

Now you are saying, “Well nobody likes to be in pain.

Duh.

But I just want to complain.

It has officially been a month since my injury, and I am officially traumatized.

Let us recap:

  1. Do construction at kids’ camp and break my back.
  2. Go to the “neurosurgeon and he breaks it even more.
  3. Go get x-rays, see another “neurosurgeon, and he officially breaks me.
  4. Sit in bed for two weeks and get yelled at by Adam, Diane, and Cassie every time I get out of bed.
  5. Tyler goes home.
  6. Deon and Rynette call me and tell me I am coming home.
  7. I come home.
  8. Go to see Dr. Carll, (who is amazing) and he gave me some real medication.
  9. Go back to Dr. Carll after a week and he says physical therapy and then if not better in a week, injections in back.
  10. Pain does not get better, and physical therapy doesn’t really help, so Dr. Carll sends me to Dr. Ray.

And I swear, during this whole time, my doctors are getting younger, and cuter. I have decided from now on to wear at least some type of makeup, and a regular bra to my doctors’ visits instead of the sports bras I have been wearing to them! (Since I am a single lady who wouldn’t mind a doctor for a husband, and a hardcore Christian doctor at that.)

  1. So I went to Dr. Ray yesterday, and he sent me today to get injections in my back.
  2. Dr. Spicer, (another cute young doctor) did the procedure today. They knocked me out with anesthesia, and stuck needles all up and down my back. Let’s just say I am in some pain after all that.

Well, as you can see, this month has been pretty hellish. Wouldn’t you agree?

I am positive that these injections will work, as are all of my cute young doctors.

Over these last few weeks, my pain has been better than it was while I was in Moldova, and I know for a fact I would not have made it to Kenya if I hadn’t have come home. So thank you Rynette and Deon for looking out for me!

I am ready to purchase my plane ticket to Kenya to meet my whole H Squad family on October 30th. So with a lot of prayer, and cooperating from the doctors, I will be well on my way!

Through all of this, I have not lost any faith in my God. He is amazing, and I learn something new from Him every day. Whether it is through prayer, the bible, worshiping, or reading My Upmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers (whom I love). Abba is ridiculously spectacular, and He has some pretty big plans coming my way.

Continue to pray for healing on my back! I should know within the next five days if I am pain-free or not, which it will be.

I will update when I can, and thank you for the prayers and encouragements!
