You know those random moments you get when you know you’re standing in the exact spot you’re supposed to be in. Some of you maybe get those moments a lot and you’ll know more about what Im talking about than I do. Others of you like me, haven’t always been real confident that where you are standing, working, or living is the place God intended you to be in.

So when you’re on walkabout, doing the 11 country-11 month thing those moments become a lot more familiar even in the worst of moments. But dont get it twisted. Im not trying to tell you that Im certain of what Im doing from one second to the next. Whether its ministry for the month or travel plans, there is no telling what we are getting into. I’m only saying that no matter how weird or scary or irritating it gets you start accepting the simple fact that if God wanted you somewhere else, He’d move you. Somehow you ditch the worries and you start to abandon the stuff that used to keep you so busy, like complaining, stressing, or worrying. The more things you can ditch in your mind, the more time you have for stuff like this.

Heres a little exhibt a, b, and c of what God does when you stop expecting things and just flow….

One day in the Dominican, you might give a woman in the red light district a new start. You take her home so she can get a hot meal and sleep in a warm safe bed. Then the ladies on your squad speak ilife into her and then you catch a motor taxi to the next town, you get to take her shopping, and buy her a bus ticket home. (no picture here for her privacy, but i will tell you we are friends on facebook, and she has not been back to the red light.)

you might meet a preacher in Haiti, who’s been shunned to a shack on the outskirts of a village. He might have a tumor the size of grapefruit and your team will sing worship songs for him and pray for him. You could give the man your sandals. And then, one of your friends who didn’t know you walked home barefooted, might have a brand new pair waiting for you when you get back

(That man’s tumor was removed the following week. We got to see him before we left)

And sometimes you want wine and complain about a ministry. you ask yourself why in the world God would put you here. And then you walk next door to get dinner. And a whole family is ready to adopt you for the month.

This is where I am now with Marvin(dad), Jaqueline, Jorge, and Josue.

Ive never been so blessed in all my life. And its the worst living conditions i’ve ever experienced, I’m on a food budget that makes me cuss, and I sweat from sun up to sun up.(not a typo). But there is no place I’d rather be.

Thank you to all my supporters, thank you to all of you reading my blogs, thank you to all of you praying for me and my team and squad. I couldn’t be blessed with this life without you.
