What this World Race is…
As I consider the possibilities involved in this trip, I get caught up in the adventures to be had. I imagine the ways that love will fill my heart and how it will overflow to those we serve throughout the year. I imagine the lives that will change in irrevocable ways and what new paths will be found on this journey. In my imagination there are endless possibilities… and I am lost.
Staying grounded in the present moment, here and now, is something that has always been very important to me. So I wonder, “How can I focus on the here and now, while planning and preparing for something that will change my life forever?” And as I pause, I begin to hear my present calling in the silence.
This journey is not my own.
I am only lucky enough to bear witness to its wonders. This journey is for everyone who needs the love that thousands of volunteers will bring with them across the world! This journey is for everyone who ponders if such a love still exists in the world today! This journey is for everyone who longs to answer back that love exists and is thriving! This journey is for everyone who has a desire to express that love to a world longing for healing!
