Y’ALL. Training camp is TOMORROW, and I may or may not be totally flipping out about everything. Each day I wake up, and I am still humbled by the fact that God chose me to go on this crazy awesome adventure. Even though it’s been work, work, work, work, work (definitely did NOT steal that from Rihanna), I have grown so much over these past months. Looking back on when I finally said yes to God (I’m pretty stubborn, just ask my mom), to where I am now, I can already see numerous areas where God has already begun transforming me.
Thank you all for taking this pre-adventure with me, watching me learn and change and be molded by God, and I hope that you continue to read this blog, and see my heart as transparently as I can convey it. Thank you for the prayers, the money, the love, and the support. You truly have no idea what it’s meant to me so far, and continues to mean to me.
Please continue to pray for me. Pray that God would continue to shape me into what He wants, that He would soften my heart towards the beautiful people that I am going to meet, and that I would strive only to glorify Him in this amazing adventure. Pray for my team and I as we meet each other for the first time (iSquad represent), that we would form strong, long lasting friendships, that we would be open, real, and loving with each other, and that our goal together would be to make our King Jesus known greatly. Pray for the gorgeous souls that we are going to encounter, pray that God would take a wrecking ball to the walls that they have set up around their hearts, that they would be hungry to hear about Jesus and His sacrifice for them, and that they would be genuine in their interest in Abba Father, and not just with the “foreigners”.
Lastly, please pray that God would continue to provide the funds for me for this. Pray that people would not only pray about giving, but that they would actually give, pray that people would see giving not as a chore or duty, but as a way for them to go with me to these countries and share the hope of Christ with many, and pray that I would meet my next deadline (need $3,000 more by July 22 for that to happen).
One last note: Training camp is most definitely NOT prepared for all this sass, determination, and awesomeness. READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!
