God gave a song this morning after a time of prayer with some of the men who work at Adventures.
The premise of the song is that God’s light often shines brightest in the darkest places.
Where there is the greatest need, the greatest desperation, a feeling of utter hopelessness; it is there Jesus shows up.
Jesus doesn’t show up to religion, he comes to a relationship.
Often times we say we want Jesus, but do we really mean it? He says come follow me, so a question we must ask is where is he, and how do we get there?
I would venture to say that God is in the darkest places.
He is in the lost places.
The brothels in Thailand, the streets of Honduras, the mosques in the Middle East, I think these are the places God is calling us.
If we really want to be his disciples we may have to drop everything the world would offer and go and follow him.
Will you follow Him? Will I?
We can either ignore the world’s brokenness, or be the hands an feet of Jesus to those who need him most! Take a risk you only live once!
I'm still in need of support for the upcoming trip in September! I will be on the field for 5 months, bringing God's love to those who need it…which is everyone! If you feel led to partner with me I would be so thankful! Just click the support me tab on the left!
